Educational & Travel Grants
- Full-time and Part-time Administrative/Professional Staff and Support Staff employees are eligible to apply for grants of up to $500 to cover the cost of:

- Tuition/fees and materials, associated with successfully completed College credit courses
- Membership fees (job applicable)
- Conferences/Workshops (and applicable travel reimbursement)
- Training/Certifications (job applicable)
- Other job-related events

- The following guidelines will be applied when evaluating applications:
- Professional Development Funds must be exhausted before grant monies applied.
- First consideration of grant monies will be applied to those who have not used grant monies within the last 2 years.
- Reimbursement of grant monies will happen after the conference has taken place and/or successful completion of certification/training/college courses/etc.
- Employees currently on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) will not be eligible to apply.
- Software (software subscriptions)/hardware is not an eligible use of grant monies.

- Application for Grants
To request grant monies, an Educational and Travel Grants application (PDF) must be submitted and processed by Human Resources. Applications are processed on a first come first serve basis and must meet the minimum requirements. Once the application has been approved, grant monies will be distributed while funds are available.- At a minimum, the application will:
- Provide rationale to how this will apply to the employee’s job responsibilities and/or alignment with the College’s mission, vision, and values.
- Request supervisor approval.
- Deadlines:
- Applications will be open on July 1.
- If additional monies are left over, a second application deadline will be opened in December.
- Grant monies must be used July 1- June 30 of application year.
